Photomator is a paid image editor with three payment options: monthly, yearly, and one-time. The monthly and yearly subscriptions provide access to Photomator on Mac, iPad, iPhone, and Vision Pro for the duration of the subscription. The one-time purchase option grants a lifetime license for use on Mac, iPad, iPhone, and Vision Pro. Below, you'll learn how to change the type of your subscription, restore, or cancel it.
If you've already paid for the subscription but would like to change its type — from monthly to a yearly subscription, for instance — you can do that at any time in the Subscription settings on your device.
Open the Settings app.
Tap your name.
Tap Subscriptions.
In the list of subscriptions, tap Photomator.
Choose a subscription type you want and follow the directions on the screen to confirm your purchase.
If you got Photomator during the brief promotional period when it was free, you’ll need to subscribe to get unlimited access. If you’re not sure whether you got a paid version of Photomator, you can check your App Store purchase history.
If you have previously deleted Photomator and would like to start using it again, or if you'd like to install it on a secondary device, you'll want to restore your purchase.
Download Photomator from the list of purchased apps on the App Store.
Open Photomator and in the subscription screen that appears, tap or click Restore. If you don't see the subscription screen on iPhone or iPad, tap the gear icon in the Photos or Files browser, choose License, then tap Restore Purchase. On Mac, click the Photomator menu at the top, then choose Settings... > License > Restore Purchase.
If you're not signed in to the App Store, you may be asked to sign in when restoring the purchase. Once your purchase is restored, you can additionally change your subscription type in the Photomator settings.
If you have a yearly or monthly subscription to Photomator, you can cancel it at any time.
Open the Settings app.
Tap your name.
Tap Subscriptions.
In the list of subscriptions, choose Photomator.
Tap Cancel Subscription. You might need to scroll down to find the Cancel Subscription button. If there is no Cancel button or you see an expiration message in red text, the subscription is already canceled.
If you sign up for a 7-day free trial and you don't want to continue the subscription, make sure to cancel it at least 24 hours before the trial ends. If you do it later, you may be charged the full subscription fee.
Photomator subscription refunds are handled by Apple. When applying for a refund, keep in mind that in different regions, different Apple refund policies may apply and they are not regulated by the Pixelmator Team.
Sign in to reportaproblem.apple.com.
Tap or click "I'd like to", then choose "Request a refund".
Choose the reason why you want a refund, then choose Next.
Choose the Photomator subscription, then tap Submit.
It may take up to 48 hours for the money to be returned to your account.
