Removing Background from a Paper Sketch in Pixelmator Pro

Solution
Convert into Pixels: Do one of the following:
In the Layers sidebar, hold Control ⌃, click a layer and choose Convert into Pixels.
Select a layer, then choose Format > Convert into Pixels (from the Format menu at the top of your screen).
Invert Colors: Do one of the following:
Choose Format > Color Adjustments > Invert (from the Format menu at the top of your screen).
Press A on your keyboard and turn on the Invert adjustment.
Apply Mask to Alpha: Select the Effects tool (shortcut key: F) and click on Add Effect > Other > Mask to Alpha.
Add Color (Optional): If you wish to add color, you can do so by selecting Add effect > Fill > Color.
