This is what I want:
I open a .jpeg file in Pixelmator from my harddisk. I resize the picture and now I want to hit cmd-s so that the picture is saved with the new dimensions.
This is what I get:
I open a .jpeg file in Pixelmator from my harddisk. I resize the picture and now I hit cmd-s. Pixelmator asks me if I want to save it as a .pxm file. But I don't. Now I have to export as a .jpeg file. After that I want to close the file but Pixelmator first ask me if I want to save it as a .pxm file.

How do I get what I want.

Thanks very much.

Hi!

In the Pixelmator preferences you can deselect the option called "Open documents in the Pixelmator file format". This will make Pixelmator respect the file format. Be warned though that (depending on your OS X settings) when closing the file without using CMD+S the file can get saved nevertheless and overwriting your original JPEG. Then you'll have to use versions to get back to the original file if needed.
